The Council is looking for an ambitious Director with a track record of achievement in delivering quality services.  With an ability to lead, inspire, motivate and manage a large multi-disciplinary workforce, and command the trust of Councillors and partners, you will play a key role in helping the Council achieve its ambitious aspirations for the Borough's economy, environment, health and wellbeing.

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, innovative strategic thinker to lead a diverse range of services including Communities, Operations, Environmental Health, Licensing, ICT Customer Services and Transformation. You will be a team player with commercial acumen and a track record of working in partnership. You will play a key role in the good governance and Management of the Council as a member of the Corporate Management Team and a Deputy for the Chief Executive in his absence.  You will lead the transformation agenda for the Council, and on work to improve the Council's performance.

You will have an ability and track record in leading and delivering large scale change and innovation, in generating income and delivering savings and efficiencies, whilst maximising service outcomes.

Educated to degree level or equivalent will have a management qualification or evidence of management development, and a relevant professional qualification. With excellent communication skills, you will represent the Council's interests locally, regionally and nationally, and be committed to the principles of public service.
