The Role

As a lead senior member of our expanding and target driven Project Management Office, you will enjoy influencing the continued growth and prosperity of the borough. You will be an ambitious but experienced professional, with particular expertise in delivery of £multi-million capital projects. You’ll be at home with project and programme delivery and have a track record of ensuring projects are managed to time and budget.

Band 11. Salary up to £54,642

The Project and Programme Manager role will have responsibility for a varied portfolio of projects, particularly in relation to the delivery of the redevelopment of the Leisure Centre for the Borough. Your knowledge and experience is key and must include: PRINCE2 project management, an ability to process complex information, deliver against competing deadlines, communicate amongst many internal and external stakeholders, as well as influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills.

Our Current Projects

Exciting project opportunities within the Project Management Office include:

  • Seafront redevelopment, incorporating the new Health and Fitness centre for the Borough.
  • Preservation and renewal of the historic and nationally significant Winter Gardens
  • Future High Street Fund application and delivery – seeking multi-million pound investment in the town centre and potential for a further £25M investment opportunity from the Stronger Towns fund
  • Planned redevelopment of Great Yarmouth’s North Quay waterfront riverside area

The role will be in line with priorities identified in the Council Corporate Plan and the economic growth of the Borough and regeneration projects.
