Jersey’s Government has embarked on a programme of rapid transformation to deliver modern, quality, value-formoney public services for islanders. We aim to support a sustainable society and internationally-competitive economy, with a strong partnership between a modern government, responsible business and islanders. A four-year Government Plan, published recently, includes a commitment to nearly £350 million of capital investment to improve the Island’s infrastructure and provide first class services for islanders. We’re recruiting to this role, which will play a critical part in delivering our strategic priorities. We’re looking for world-class skills to match our ambition, together with an appreciation of how to deploy those in a unique and precious island environment.

The Role

The Government is committed to building a new, state-of-the-art hospital to meet the Island’s future healthcare needs. This ambitious project requires a Project Director, responsible for overall project direction, coordination and buildings delivery, and accountable to a high-level steering group chaired by the Chief Executive. You will have experience of delivering large and complex public sector building projects – ideally a hospital – from briefing to construction, commissioning and handover.
