There’s a regeneration revolution happening in Wolverhampton and we want to recruit a Head of City Economy who makes things happen.
As part of the Regeneration Management team, the Head of City Economy will take responsibility for the delivery of our exciting cultural, visitor and creative economic sector in the city, including our entertainment, arts and library services.
This includes contributing to the regeneration of the city centre by increasing footfall and visitor numbers, as well as prioritising economic inclusion, skills and employment priorities as part of our stronger quality of life offer. The post holder will also lead on influencing and promoting the city’s cultural and entertainment sectors at a regional and national level.
The Head of City Economy will be responsible for growing the creative, cultural, leisure and visitor economy through developing partnerships, new initiatives and increasing customer spend. Additionally, the post holder will lead the transformation and ongoing management of the City’s Library and Community Hub Services to create dynamic environments and an effective infrastructure that encourages literacy, learning, skills and civic participation.
The Head of City Economy will make a significant contribution to creating a city that is an excellent place to live, work, invest, visit, learn and do business.
Please contact Richard Lawrence, Director of Regeneration for more information regarding the position on 01902 555533 or richard.lawrence@wolverhampton.gov.uk
