Imagine a better future for Ealing – and all its residents
We want Ealing’s residents to prosper and have the best chance in life. To enjoy rewarding jobs and the opportunity to develop. As Head of Employment & Skills, you’ll share our drive to create such opportunities, so we can boost economic growth and reduce poverty. With your motivation and expertise, you can play a pivotal role in our Council – and the lives of thousands of Ealing residents.
As our senior expert in employment and skills, you’ll spearhead our efforts in this critical field. Through a range of strategies, projects and services, you’ll help residents to build skills, secure jobs and training, and advance in their careers. A key part of this will be engaging employers and connecting local people with jobs, apprenticeships and opportunities across the borough. Helping our most vulnerable residents is a high priority. We also want to forge relationships with colleges, the third sector, start-ups and social enterprises. Through strong partnerships, we can deliver the best possible employment and skills services for people across our borough.
Although you’ll bring extensive experience in employment and skills, you’ll understand the importance of cross-functional working. So while you’ll be pushing forward the skills manifesto, you’ll support efforts in Housing and Sustainable Communities. You’ll also bring in-depth knowledge of relevant issues and policies, along with a track record of securing funding and resources. With this expertise, you’ll have the credibility to build effective partnerships and represent the Council at a senior level. Innovative, articulate and able to manage financially sound services, you’ll lead a highly capable team to achieve strategic priorities.
