We are a large, diverse, outer London Borough with inner London challenges and a bold vision. At Enfield, we are dedicated to exploring new & innovative ways of providing services that deliver real improvements to the lives and wellbeing of our residents. In Children’s Services, we want our children & young people to feel safe, confident and happy, with opportunities to reach their full potential as they become adults.

Our last Ofsted report found a Good service, but our ambition is to provide Outstanding outcomes for our children and young people. We are accelerating our improvement and are now looking for two new Heads of Service who can contribute fresh ideas and bring innovative approaches to ensure we help and protect those most in need.

As our new Head of Services for Looked After & Vulnerable Children & Young People you will inspire a range of services supporting looked after children, care leavers and vulnerable young people. Providing strategic and professional leadership, you will oversee exciting projects and services such as our new Children’s Portal, our unique Health & Education Access & Resource Team (HEART) and the Virtual School, our approach to the regionalisation of adoption and our high performing contact centre.
