In an exciting and unique role as the Chief Executive of SWAP, you will provide credible leadership of the organisation, shaping, developing and implementing the corporate strategy and ensuring that the correct governance is in place for this expanding company.  As an ambassador for SWAP, you will utilize your highly effective commercial intuition to strengthen the financial viability of the company by identifying future opportunities for new income streams, working with senior representatives across the public and private sectors at local, regional and national levels.

To undertake this challenging and rewarding role with a significant and diverse brief, we require a leader with a proven track record as an experienced and qualified internal audit leader, with extensive business leadership, evidencing commercial acumen and significant income generation.  You will have the ability to build and sustain effective relationships at a senior level with a wide range of stakeholders.  High levels of political nous and an understanding of local government will also be essential for this senior role.  Leading and managing an established team, you will be able to demonstrate innovative, visible and exemplary leadership, driving forward improvement in our services, within the context of a challenging background. 

Proven successful and consistent achievement in the leadership of relevant functions at senior management level, within a private company, local authority or other organisation of comparable scope and complexity is essential.
