To help us achieve this, we are looking to recruit a new Assistant Director to take the lead for Early Intervention and Safeguarding within our borough.

You will join a new senior team delivering Children Services with committed support from Elected Members, partners and senior colleagues.

Reporting to the newly appointed Director of Children and Young People’s Services (CYPS), we are looking for a transformational leader to continue to deliver our high performing and innovative Early Intervention and Safeguarding Services. You will have the ability to lead a team of motivated and energetic service managers. This is already a strong team that deliver services that make a difference to young people and their families. In addition the service is engaged in the embedding of systemic practice and three separate Innovation Projects. The Assistant Director’s role is to co-ordinate, inspire and motivate.

This post offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills and lead successful Children's Services in a council that maintains via the support of all elected members Children and Young People's services as one of its highest priorities.
