Service Implementation Manager - First Response Service
You will play a key role in the organisation and the wider Suffolk System, within the Adult and Community Services (ACS) directorate.
The main purpose of this role is to design, develop and implement the First Response Service (FRS) programme. This is a new single point of contact for our customers, their carers and professionals that will give information, advice and guidance to older people, disabled people and their carers.
It will deliver the highest standards of customer service, accessing social care information, reablement, digital care and therapeutic services in Suffolk.
The FRS will make full use of technology and build our digital care offer by utilising local and national innovation, allowing us to respond to the care act where councils are asked to seek lower cost options for social care.
The FRS will be made up of professionals who have the right skills and knowledge to efficiently and safely resolve questions and concerns, reducing the amount of work that flows through to locality teams.
In this role, you will provide effective leadership to the FRS programme, working with the Assistant Director (Business Systems and Intelligence), linking the processes and outcomes to the demand reduction programme, working with area directors and their teams, the Business Systems and Intelligence Leadership Team and the Digital Team, ensuring an efficient and effective model is designed and implemented.
You will also contribute to the effective leadership of the ACS locality teams including mental health and learning disabilities ensuring together we design and deliver good quality solutions that deliver better outcomes for the people of Suffolk, whilst reducing demand and costs. You will manage a large, diverse team who will be based around the county.
You will work with IT and digital leaders, area directors, county councillors, the Director of Adult Social Care as well as health leaders to deliver the council's political and strategic agendas and lead specific projects and programmes.
System leadership and design will be a key part of the role, as demand reduction through early intervention and accessing support and advice from social care, OT and other ACS professionals whilst integrating with health, voluntary sector and sector partners are key components of transforming service delivery.
The FRS will enable health and social care systems to be more joined up and more accessible for our service users.
