At the Royal Borough of Kingston and London Borough of Sutton, we enjoy a successful track record of sharing services and are committed to working together to deliver social, physical and economic benefits.

As high performing Councils, we understand the importance of providing our communities with excellent highways and a transportation network which meets the needs of our residents, businesses and visitors. You will have a keen interest in championing the Tramlink extension to Sutton and Crossrail 2 in Kingston but, most importantly will ensure the safety of the highway network within the context of continued financial constraint.

This is a new opportunity to play a leadership role across two well-regarded authorities. You will provide strategic and professional guidance and develop strong relationships with stakeholders and funders to secure inward investment.  You will be responsible for delivering traffic and modal shift schemes that respond to air quality, overseeing highways contracts and delivering regulatory services for both boroughs spanning environmental health, licensing and trading standards.

Above all, you will ensure that the highway network and infrastructure reflects the needs of the residents and businesses across Kingston and Sutton.  You will bring a strong track record of advising politicians and chief officers and can evidence successful delivery of projects and schemes. Your leadership will ensure that the service creates the energy and pace to effectively support our plans and delivers to consistently high standards.
