The Role

Camden's Educational Psychology Service is looking for an energetic, dynamic and highly committed educational psychologist to provide an effective, innovative educational psychology service for children and families.  The EPS has a high reputation in schools and services, with the majority buying in traded services.  We work collaboratively as a team to continually develop our ways of working.

Camden has a vibrant education scene with excellent schools, health and care services, including a strong early help offer to families. We take an outcome focused consultative approach to delivery of EP services to schools and other organisations and work closely with a range of agencies. There are opportunities for EPs to deliver exciting projects including developing interventions in schools.  We deliver support in a diverse range of community settings to raise attainment for children and young people with SEND, and support the development of children's resilience and motivation.

We are looking to appoint to two fixed term posts to provide maternity cover and an increase in traded services.  We are seeking candidates with an excellent understanding of psychological frameworks and their application. You will contribute consultation, assessment and interventions to meet the needs of vulnerable children, including those with SEN and Disabilities and children who are Looked After.

You will have an excellent understanding of SEND and Equalities legislation and a sound knowledge of children's psychological development, together with skills and experience in delivery of psychological interventions e.g. CBT and VIG.

Camden welcomes applications from experienced educational psychologists registered with the HCPC, or trainees completing their third year of training in 2017.
