Executive Head of Service - (People and Transformation)
Mid-way between London and the South Coast, and covering large parts of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty, Mole Valley is an attractive, predominantly rural district which includes the market towns of Dorking and Leatherhead. It is a wonderful place to live, work, do business and spend leisure time in.
Mole Valley District Council is a dynamic and progressive local authority known for effective partnership working and taking the lead on service transformation and new ways of working. This is currently evidenced by, amongst other things, a wide range of high performing services, an ambitious asset management strategy and a major regeneration project, Transform Leatherhead.
Working in a friendly, lively environment we are looking for an exceptional leader to become an integral part of our new Strategic Leadership Team. Having responsibility for overseeing the delivery of a portfolio of services, you will work with our recently appointed Chief Executive, Deputy and other Executive Heads to maintain and build on open and supportive relationships with elected members, staff and partners to realise our long term vision for the district and continue to drive improvement and transformation across the Council.
If you are a strong, visible and inspirational leader who leads by example, is ambitious for our people and our services, with proven ability to work with members and partners to deliver, then this could be the role for you. As the portfolio of services you will be responsible for may change from time to time your skills and general experience are more important than coming from any specific professional background.
