At the heart of East London and a few miles from the City, Newham is the future of the capital: London is moving East and doing so at pace. Newham Council is busy transforming itself and innovating to meet financial challenges and ensure positive, sustainable outcomes for its residents.

We are seeking to fill two key posts that are critical to the borough’s success in this.

By 2030, we fully expect Newham to be recognised across Europe as a leading economic and residential district of London.

Newham will be known as a prosperous and forward-looking borough, synonymous with health, opportunity, and sustainable employment.

Regeneration here is on a massive scale building on the 2012 Olympic Games legacy but progressing much further.

From the Olympic Park and Stratford City to the £3.7 billion regeneration of Canning Town and Custom House, the £400 million London City Airport expansion and on to the rejuvenation of the Royal Docks and the construction of the Asian Business Port, an estimated £22 billion will have been invested in the area.

This will be a challenging yet incredibly rewarding role which will impact one of the most deprived areas of London. Leading on economic growth you will make a tangible difference to the lives of our residents.

You will have experience of leading on large-scale regeneration projects, have a commercial head for complex negotiations, exceptional stakeholder skills and a demonstrable ability to deliver.
