The fastest growing city economy in Yorkshire. A major town centre regeneration in the pipeline, along with 1,000 new homes. An overall ‘good’ Ofsted rating for children’s services. Clearly, Rotherham is changing. Driving this change is a council that’s passionate about putting Rotherham on the map for all the right reasons. Now you’ll take us even further by bringing the same commitment, tenacity and ambition to this critical role.
Great performance starts with you
To make progress, we need an inspired and dedicated workforce. You’ll help us build exactly that using your specialist expertise. A trusted adviser working at a senior level, you’ll design strategies, processes and interventions that will help our organisation to perform. You’ll see that diversity, learning and continuous improvement are fostered through our culture, while making sure that managers get all the support they need to make changes happen.
A confident OD expert
A CIPD-qualified professional with strong technical OD skills, you’ll have the expertise to cope in this challenging, complex setting. You could have worked in either the private or public sector (experience in both would be ideal). But whatever your background, it’s vital that you can deliver innovative OD solutions and be a trusted partner to senior figures. We want you to work confidently with leaders and coach them to achieve their goals. So we’ll be looking for the ability to build relationships and make relationships work.
This is an exciting time to join Rotherham. You can look forward to all the satisfaction of building on the changes we’ve already made, reinforcing our momentum and driving further progress. It’s a receptive, enthusiastic, collaborative environment in which to make your mark. The more tangible rewards are highly attractive too.
