Director of Integrated Commissioning
Bexley as a place is undergoing rapid change driven by demographic shifts as new communities settle and by carefully planned but ambitious commerce and housing growth. Both Bexley CCG and the London Borough of Bexley are well run values based organisations operating in a financially challenged environment, co-located in the Civic Offices and with a long track record of cooperation, collaboration and integration. Our integration plans are not an end in themselves but the means to deliver smarter, more resilient and more personalised health and care services to our people.
This role represents a fantastic opportunity to help us take our ambitions to the next level. We believe that sustainable high quality health and social care can only be delivered by unifying our purpose and our resources. We are keen to explore the emerging options for our partnership in the context of an Accountable Care System and we’re looking for a knowledgeable, intelligent, bold visionary to join our system leadership and to put our joint commissioning into a strategic context.
Key components of the role include aligning commissioning strategies to the shared key priorities of the partners; leading on the Bexley Better Care Fund as the primary vehicle for integrated commissioning and pooled budgets; working collaboratively with strategic provider partners; and delivering major commissioning programmes.
If you share our vision and ambition to join together to support the health and wellbeing of our communities; if you instinctively work openly and collaboratively with partners and stakeholders; if you are focussed on outcomes for people – then we want to hear from you.
Applications are welcome from candidates from either a health and/or local authority background. For an informal discussion about the role, please contact either:
