Building stronger communities in the Borough remains at the heart of our
ambition for achieving great lives and great services for all our citizens.
Your role will be focussed around providing leadership and direction to our
ambitious Stronger Communities Programme as well as providing strategic
oversight to a number of service areas at the heart of this agenda.

The reach of the role is extensive as we seek to support communities
to take a more active role in managing their own quality of life through
proactive community development but also developing and promoting an
integrated approach to prevention and early intervention. Public Service
Reform and innovation are integral to this moving forward.

To be successful, we will need an individual who is adept at working in and
forging successful partnerships with a wide range of internal and external
bodies. Whilst clarity of purpose will set the course, true success will be
judged by the quality of impact in reducing service demand, supporting
independent living as well as overall service improvement/effectiveness.
In short, we need someone with buckets of enthusiasm, a people person
focussed on outcomes and delivery.
