Director of Skills and Productivity
Previously known as the “workshop of the world”, the West Midlands is once again aiming to become the engine of the British economy – driving jobs, prosperity and growth. We have already been awarded our historic first devolution deal and we are ambitious to negotiate even more powers and responsibilities from Westminster direct to the region. We are looking for a Director of Skills and Productivity to join our senior management team to deliver the objectives set out in our Strategic Economic Plan, which covers our three LEP geography.
The Director of Skills and Productivity will drive forward the skills agenda to energise the regional economy, by ensuring the local workforce is equipped with the skills necessary to meet business needs. You will support the Skills and Productivity Commission overseeing the delivery of the transformation and reform plans, playing a key role in developing our approaches to improving productivity across the region.
This exciting opportunity will help shape one of the most influential public bodies in the country.
