Dacorum in West Hertfordshire to the north of London embraces the new town of Hemel Hempstead, the historic market towns of Berkhamsted and Tring as well as picturesque villages and rural locations. Dacorum is one of the largest districts in the country serving a population of 150,000. The Council has drive and passion and has embarked on plans to regenerate the town and continues to have ambitious plans for further regeneration and residential development. The Council is supporting the need for new housing within the Borough within a £1.8bn Housing Business Plan and examining the potential for a development company.
You will be involved in all key financial decisions and you will head up a dedicated team who deliver quality and professional accountancy and transactional financial services to the Council.
You will be responsible for the delivery of all financial services to the Council for both the General Fund and Housing (HRA) including management accounting, financial accounting, transactional finance, payroll and insurance and risk management services.
You will be based at The Forum, a new purpose built public service hub in the centre of Hemel Hempstead that provides a modern and friendly working environment.
