Cornwall Council has an exciting opportunity to make a real difference; we have set the direction to transform Cornwall’s economy and create sustainable public services, and our Digital ambitions are integral to achieving this.

If you are an experienced leader, an expert in Technology, with a proven track record of enabling organisations to achieve their strategic aims, then why not come and work in a place of outstanding natural beauty, for an organisation that strives to be at the forefront of technological advancements?

With over 1000 miles of coastline, it’s no surprise that the sea and Cornwall’s beaches play a central part in the lifestyle. But once you take your eyes away from the glistening waves, golden sands or rugged cliffs, you’ll see there’s more to Cornwall’s outdoor living.

The heart of the county features wild moorlands as well as traditional rural countryside, ideal for exploring and offering a wealth of cultural opportunities.

Cornwall Council delivers services to more than half a million local people and to over five million visitors a year. Some of the services we deliver include; care for the elderly, children’s safeguarding, libraries, road maintenance, fire and rescue service, recycling, parks, street cleaning, countryside management, social housing, town planning, tourism support, trading standards and many more.

All of which are supported and underpinned by information technology, with the aim of enabling residents and businesses in Cornwall to prosper.

Our ambitions are clear – we have recently agreed an £18m Digital Improvement Programme for Cornwall and therefore, the successful delivery of large transformation projects is critical to this role, so you will be able to demonstrate the delivery of this in other organisations of a similar size and complexity.

Excellent stakeholder management skills across a range of levels are essential to the success of this role, as you will be working across the public and private sector to deliver the best outcomes for Cornwall.
