Directors x 2
Exeter is one of the fastest growing cities in the UK, supported in no small part by the impressive performance of the University of Exeter. We have ambitious plans to make Exeter both an analytical city and the global leading location for applied environmental science. The home of the Met Office, we are working with Exeter City Futures towards energy independence for the city and to be congestion free by 2025.
We put people, businesses and our city first, and are redefining what local government can achieve by strategic thinking and working with others. The council still owns its 5,000 strong housing stock and has an ambitious city centre regeneration agenda. There is much to celebrate but also much still to do.
Two new director posts have come at a pivotal time, driving forward the opportunity to rethink how we lead transformational change and align strategic direction with operational delivery. Both roles will give the right leader the opportunity to work on a range of key strategic projects. For this you’ll need to use your excellent delivery, commercial and strategic partnering skills to rethink service delivery and tackle investment opportunities whilst overcoming financial challenges.
The roles will deliver challenge and reward in equal measure. If you’d like a seat on the strategic management board and want to work with one of the most forward thinking and agile local authorities in the country, we would love to hear from you.
