Kent is a large, influential and ambitious county. Our top team works closely with our Leader Paul Carter CBE, Cabinet members and director colleagues to deliver good services and outcomes for the people of Kent, achieve organisational effectiveness, make best use of resources and enhance our reputation as an agent of change. We are moving to a new structure which will enable us to deal with current and future agendas including a sharper focus on prevention/early help as well as greater integration and partnership working.  These are two critical and newly created roles in the corporate management team.

The Children, Young People and Education Directorate

This newly-formed Directorate combines the responsibilities and expertise of Specialist Children’s Services, Education, Early Help and Prevention. As the statutory DCS, you will ensure that all services work together, and with partners including schools, to deliver the vision set out in the Children and Young People’s Services Integration Programme – enabling every child and young person in Kent to get the best start in life.

We are open as to your background, experience and sector but will look for an outstanding track record of success in service delivery, strong change management skills and inspirational leadership.
