Leicestershire County Council is currently looking for a passionate and determined Head of Early Help and Safer Communities to join our Children and Families Department, with experience of operating successfully and effectively in a complex environment.    This is a key role for the County, covering a wider remit including our ‘supporting Leicestershire families’ programme, youth offending, community safety, children’s centres and early help.    Like many authorities, we are determined to get ‘up stream’ of the many issues our most vulnerable families are facing, working closely with them to ensure they are adequately supported – thereby improving life chances and avoiding later and more costly interventions.

The postholder will need to work closely with service users, elected Members and our many partners and stakeholders, in order to ensure that these vital services continue to improve and progress.

For more information please see www.leicestershireexcellence.com or contact our advising consultants Jodi MacDougall (0113 205 6093) or Luke Judd (0113 205 6077).
