Highly articulate and with first-class communication, information technology and influencing skills you’ll be a highly talented individual with a strong record of success in a demanding leadership role, not afraid of delivering complex organisational and system change, managing a large budget in challenging financial circumstances and engaging and motivating a committed and dynamic workforce that is able to deliver the council’s strategic policy objectives.
Chippenham Town Council is bucking the trend of other councils and is looking to expand its services. Last year alone saw us opening the Neeld Community and Arts centre and play an instrumental part in obtaining one of only 63 Purple Flags for the night time economy of the town centre. If you are the successful applicant, if you don’t already hold one you will need to gain the sectors Clerks qualification - the Certificate in Local Council Administration within one year here to enable us to regain our General Power of Competence.
You’ll be experienced in managing large scale and complex organisations and projects. You’ll have the confidence to be proactive, understand and help drive best practice and continuous improvement.
You’ll have the expertise to understand and investigate complex service delivery within a challenging and political environment. An ambassador for Chippenham, you’ll be skilled in building relationships, working with strategic partners to realise ambitious sustainable community objectives.
