The Planning Inspectorate is responsible for the determination of a range of appeals and the examination of Local Plans and National Infrastructure Development. The Growth and Infrastructure Act 2013 extends the range of our
activity, and in response to this new requirement, we are creating a team within our Major Applications and Plans Directorate to handle applications on behalf of the Secretary of State.
