Health and Social Care services in Bury are changing. As a group of providers already supporting the 200,000 people living in Bury, we have come together to form a Local Care Organisation to deliver our shared vision of improving the health and wellbeing of the population and implementing the Bury Locality Plan.
We are part of the wider Greater Manchester Devolution Programme - one of the most radical changes to improving health in England in 70 years – and also very much focused on Bury and its people.
The Local Care Organisation was formally launched in April 2017 and is an alliance between, BARDOC Ltd, Bury Council, Bury GP Federation, Northern Care Alliance NHS Group and Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. All partners have signed a mutually binding agreement articulating the alliance’s vision and commitment to integrated working. The Local Care Organisation (LCO) has a strong relationship with local commissioners and an ethos of working with our population to redesign health and social care pathways.
Bury Council is now recruiting to the post of Assistant Director (Adult Social Care).
As a key member of the LCO Board, you will ensure the provision of a range of integrated health and social care services for local people, by providing quality strategic and operational leadership to the Adult Social Care teams.
You will work collaboratively with partners across the acute hospitals, community health and the Voluntary, Community and Faith sectors (VCFS), promoting the role and contribution of social care, for the benefit of Bury residents.
A qualified Social Worker with a post graduate management or leadership qualification, you will already have a successful track record of planning and managing services for adults and substantial experience of leading and managing services through change.
