Head of Service – Neighbourhoods

Head of Service – Boroughwide

 

Contract: Permanent.  Full Time, 37 hours per week.

Salary: M Band 1.  £55,167 – £62,805

 

Your Role

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to be part of a new Senior Management Team in Adult Social Care in Stockport. The two Head of Service posts will be responsible for the delivery of the Statutory responsibilities of the Local Authority, through a modern and dynamic Adult Social Care Team but will also have the ability to develop their own service portfolio alongside other members of the senior management team.

The two posts will look to deliver and develop Neighbourhood Services and Boroughwide Services respectively. The successful post holders will also be expected to continue to develop service provision alongside health colleagues to ensure that services are more integrated around the people that use social care and health services.

About You

You will have a demonstrable track record of delivery as a senior manager within an Adult Social Care environment, and be able to evidence your skills in collaborative working within a wider Corporate senior management group, as well as with colleagues in Health.  You are a confident leader, with a demonstrable passion for Adult Social care modernisation, and your leadership style embodies the corporate values of Stockport Council. You will also hold a Professional Social Work Qualification and have suitable management qualifications and experience.
