The Role

A vibrant hub for business and communities, Tower Hamlets is the fastest-growing area of the country. With development in full flow this adds up to an exceptional opportunity for you as Corporate Director of Place with exposure to projects of impressive scope and scale.

A member of our senior leadership team, you’ll drive borough-wide regeneration to meet key challenges. These range from providing affordable homes to further improving employment prospects and creating fantastic neighbourhoods. There’s also the task of bringing our Waste contract in-house and overseeing our move to a new Town Hall. Then, there’s our ambitious capital programme – worth c.£300m.

You won’t just be leading teams and strategies – you’ll be delivering multiple projects and programmes. You should therefore be a credible senior manager with a clear view of our initiatives and pin-sharp commercial acumen.
