Job Details

As an international centre for government, business, tourism and culture, home to a quarter of a million residents and welcoming a million commuters each day, Westminster is no ordinary local authority. We have a clear vision to deliver a City for All, where people are empowered to make their lives better. Our focus is on providing sustainable communities as we invest heavily in increasing affordable homes, upgrading existing homes, creating job and training opportunities, enhancing public spaces and generating places for new business.

We have three major regeneration programmes in progress:

Church Street in the Edgeware Road area is a 15 - 20 year mixed use programme, bringing together a number of smaller schemes, including the delivery of 1750 new homes, a new cultural quarter and market, which will create business, jobs and training opportunities.

Ebury Bridge in Pimlico will include the development of 750 new homes, nearly half of which will be affordable, a more sustainable retail and commercial environment and significant public realm improvements.

Soho is home to the UK’s largest creative cluster and is already a lively and vibrant area. The Council has aspirations to draw together much of what the area has to offer to provide greater opportunities for businesses and residents.

We are looking for three experienced Programme Directors to shape and implement our most high profile and complex regeneration programmes. With experience of acting as a client for new residential and business developments, you will have a can -do attitude and demonstrate knowledge, enthusiasm, ambition and drive and be able to thrive in a fast-moving environment. With exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills you will influence decision makers across the Council and with a wide range of stakeholders. If you are passionate about delivering high quality schemes and services that will improve people’s lives, we would like to hear from you.

For an informal discussion and further information about this role, please contact Yvonne Frayling on 07539 373 827 or 020 3434 0990.
