Join our senior management team based in east Lincolnshire, covering a range of coastal and inland rural communities.   We are looking for a qualified solicitor with strong experience in local government to act as Monitoring Officer to the Council.  We also want somebody who has a wider interest in enabling the authority and its managers to embrace the fast pace of change we are all experiencing, and who wants to be part of a small corporate team that has to meet this challenge.

You will be required to play a key role in promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct amongst elected members and officers in everything they do, and developing and operating the Council’s Constitution.  We also have a large number of Parish Councils who are an important part of the governance of the district, and you will need to provide advice and guidance in relation to conduct and governance at that local level.

The Monitoring Officer role forms part of the senior management team, and will provide relevant corporate support to managers across the authority.

Please contact our Director Alison Penn if you would like to discuss the position or find out more about our district tel: 01507 613411
