Ideally with a background in regeneration, you will be somebody who is adept at encouraging collaboration and buy-in, and able to influence and motivate those around you.   Both resilience and empathy are key characteristics required for this demanding but exciting position.

About us

Newport is an ambitious, growing University City situated on the River Usk in South Wales – acting as a gateway to Wales and England.  As a city it has much to offer – affordable homes, excellent road and rail connections and lots to do: shopping, leisure, walking, cycling – Newport is a fantastic place to live, work and visit.   Our ambition now is to move the City on to its next phase of large-scale economic regeneration, fully maximizing the potential of the Capital Region City Deal for the benefit of our citizens.

As a council, we want to nurture talent and the skills potential of our teams to deliver excellent services and achieve the very best outcomes for the communities of Newport.   Being part of a change focused culture and collaborative leadership team you will have the scope to make a real difference in a supportive, but dynamic environment.
